INVITATION TO APPLY FOR ELIGIBILITY AND TO BID

The University of the Philippines Mindanao, through its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), invites suppliers to apply for eligibility and to bid for the hereunder project:

Approved Budget for the Contract : Php. 4,520,000.00

Lot 1	GAS CHROMATOGRAPH, application software, add-on accessories, 1 unit; SAMPLE AUTO INJECTOR, 1 set; WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM	2,710,000.00
Lot 2	LAMINAR FLOW, CLEAN BENCH, 2 units; INCUBATOR/OVEN, 1 unit; MULTI-ACTION ALL-IN-ONE PLATFORM SHAKER, 1 unit; HIGH-SPEED MICROCENTRIFUGE, Refrigerated, 1 unit; NITROGEN DEWAR WITH CANISTER STORAGE, 1 unit	1,060,000.00
Lot 3	FABRICATION OF FERMENTOR, BP30L, 1 set	750,000.00

 

Prospective bidders should have experience in undertaking a similar project within the last 2 years with an amount of at least 50% of the proposed project for bidding. The Eligibility Check/Screening as well as the Preliminary Examination of Bids shall use non-discretionary “pass/fail” criteria. Post-qualification of the lowest calculated bid shall be conducted.

All particulars relative to Eligibility Statement and Screening, Bid Security, Performance Security, Pre-Bidding Conference, Evaluation of Bids, Post-Qualification and Award of Contract shall be governed by the pertinent provisions of R.A. 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).

4. Bid Evaluation	November 7-14, 2008
5. Post Qualification	November 17-20, 2008
6. Notice of Award	November 24, 2008

Bid Documents will be available only to prospective bidders upon payment of a non-refundable amount of Five Thousand Four Hundred Twenty Five Only ( Php. 5,425.00) to the University of the Philippines Mindanao cashier.

The University of the Philippines Mindanao assumes no responsibility whatsoever to compensate or indemnify bidders for any expenses incurred in the preparation of the bid.
