“Text Mining in Career Studies" lecture-training
The Program on Data Science for Public Policy of UP CIDS invites you to the first installment of our Program’s Capacity Building Series, entitled “Text Mining in Career Studies: Generating Insights from Unstructured Textual Data” Career Studies: Generating Insights from Unstructured Textual Data” happening on July 5, 2021, 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, via Zoom.
The lecture-training explains the process of text mining as it may be applied to the study of careers, starting with text preprocessing and ending with the application of analytical techniques. Both conventional techniques and more novel text analytical techniques are discussed with the hope of inspiring career researchers to further embrace text analysis as a means to answer novel research questions.
Our resource person is Dr. Vladimer Kobayashi, DSPPP Fellow and Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, University of the Philippines, Mindanao.
