Atty. Angelo Azura Jimenez is invested as the 22nd University President in an Investiture Ceremony held at the UP Mindanao Administration Building Atrium on September 14, 2023. The event is attended by UP officials from all campuses, government officials, and other guests.

The UP Mindanao Investiture Committee made a significant contribution to the success of the event. Subcommittees for procurement and management were organized months earlier and involved up until the eve of the investiture. The Cultural Night on the evening of September 14 featured an extended performance by the UP Mindanao Koro Kantahanay, the official university choir, and the UP Mindanao Dance Ensemble. Faculty members Julius Neil Piala and Ena Marie Dizon served as emcees at the Cultural Night and the next day's UP-SUC Summit.
