UP Mindanao's ISO Quality Management System project completed another milestone with the Internal Audit Closing Meeting on September 5, 2024. Quality Assurance Director Assoc. Prof. Gamot detailed the observed conformities, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement among the audit observations gathered over six days across six organizational clusters.

ISO consultant Mr. Perfecto "Jun" Cagaanan Jr. said the audit observations are gathered through random sampling, which characterizes an audit, and that the units can address the opportunities for improvement for the external audit, tentatively scheduled in October.
Chancellor Lyre Anni gives feedback at the audit meeting |
"I experienced being audited, and it's not a cause for fear," said Chancellor Lyre Anni Murao. "All these data are available because of the audit efforts. They are feedback for our improvement, and they are all important inputs," she said. "I am glad there were no surprises because the observations that we gathered are known to us. What's important is that they are documented and consolidated, and we can take responsibility and be guided in taking action," she said.
