University President Angelo A. Jimenez	UP Mindanao Chancellor Lyre Anni E. Murao

University President Angelo Jimenez issued Administrative Order No. PAJ 24-92 on September 10, 2024, with the subject "Instituting a Search Process for the Next Chancellor of UP Mindanao, and Constituting a Search Committee Therefore."

The order states, "The term of office of the Chancellor of UP Mindanao will end on 28 February 2025." Furthermore, it states, "Crucial to the process is the creation of a Search Committee," which "shall be constituted."

Nominations to the Search Committee are due September 27, 2024, after which the University President will constitute the Committee on October 4, 2024.

Nominations for chancellor will be accepted until October 25, 2024, after which the Search Committee will conduct their forums and submit their report to the president by January 10, 2025.

The Board of Regents will choose the next chancellor in their meeting on January 30, 2025. 

Chancellor Lyre Anni Murao is the sixth chancellor of UP Mindanao. Her predecessors are professors Rogelio V. Cuyno, Ricardo M. de Ungria, Gilda C. Rivero, Sylvia B. Concepcion, and Larry N. Digal.
