The PUSO-BULSA System Project Team delivered the End-User Training for UP Mindanao Personnel on September 25-27, 2024, for the upcoming system-wide implementation of the PUSO and BULSA.
The two acronyms stand for Personnel Unified System Outlook (PUSO) and Budget Utilization and Liquidation System and Analytics (BULSA). The Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research of UP Diliman built these information systems for UP.
On Day 1 the End-user Training was for the members of the Adhoc Committee, the heads of Accounting, Budget, and Cash, and the Human Resources (HRDO) personnel.

Day 2 focused on PUSO for HR personnel and, in the afternoon, included the finance and key administrative personnel from the units. Also, in the afternoon, BULSA was introduced to the personnel, which was continued on Day 3.
Day 3 of the training |
"We are the first among the UP Constituent Universities to take this training," said Prof. May Anne Mata, PUSO and BULSA Focal Person for UP Mindanao. "It's good to see that everyone here is cooperating and the participants are proactive," she said. "Because of this, UP Mindanao will most likely be the first in the UP System to adopt and implement these systems," she said.
Chancellor Murao expressed her appreciation for the developments. "It's great to hear that feedback," she said. "It's good to know that UP Mindanao is trailblazing in adopting these systems," she said.
