The food products were produced in the UP Mindanao Pilot Bakery located in the Kalimudan Complex, which was launched on April 17, 2024, in collaboration with the government agencies DOST XI, DTI XI, DSWD XI, and FDA XI, the industry partners Cacao Culture, Prifood Corporation, Lucia Dulce, Glory Foods, Unifrutti, and Banana Town, and Davao Del Sur State College and Davao Del Norte State College.

The UP Mindanao Bakery operation manifests the UP Mindanao TTBDO's commitment to the Mindanao Innovation Initiative, an element of the UP Mindanao Strategic Plan 2022-2025, by fostering an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to bridge the gap between academic research and industry needs. It aligns with the UP Strategic Plan on Creating Innovation Hubs, Partnerships, and Public Service. It addresses the sustainable development goals of Industry Innovation Infrastructure and Responsible Consumption and Production.
