President Jimenez, Regent Aranton, and Party take a Campus Tour

University President Angelo Jimenez and his party gave suggestions for the improvement or sustainability of the various UP Mindanao facilities during a campus tour on October 13, 2024.
The president's party consisted of UP Alumni Association (UPAA) President and Alumni Regent Robert Aranton, UPAA vice president Fernando Sanchez, UPAA directors Benjamin Muego and Ma. Recelyn Marasigan, UPLBAA-Davao's Nelson Villamor, and UPAA staff.
UP Mindanao Chancellor Lyre Anni Murao, Vice-Chancellor for Administration Leo Manuel Estaña, Student Affairs Director Ma. Stella Salazar, and UPAAD's Khalil Guinomla, guided them through parts of the tour.

The party convened at the Administration Building and proceeded to the School of Management, the College of Social Science and Humanities (CHSS) Cultural Complex, the Center for the Advancement of Research in Mindanao (CARIM) Building, the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM), and the Sports Complex Gym and Football Field.

They drove by the Aquatics Center and the Davao City Public Hospital site and dropped by the University Library and Outdoor Gym grounds.
The tour ended at the Elias B. Lopez Hall dormitory, where the president visited the Vegetable Garden and Kitchen and met some student residents.
At the dorm, the president suggested expanding the outdoor kitchen and dining space. He also looked at wall plaques and read some bulletins.
"I like to look at the small things," he said, "because the small things tell you more."
The president's visit culminated in a lunch fellowship with students at the EBL dorm before departure.
