In celebration of UP Mindanao's 29th Founding Anniversary, the UPMin Office of Student Affairs held a 3-day Scholarship Fair on February 27-29, 2024, at the Administration Building  Atrium. UPMin Chancellor Lyre Anni Murao opened the Fair alongside OSA Director Ma. Stella Salazar and guest speaker Instructor Kenneth P. Montajes of the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science (DMPCS) of the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM).  

The featured scholarship programs included those from the UP Alumni Association, UPSTREAM, SHESTEMS, UT Foundation, Vicente B. Bello, SunLife Financial Foundation, UP Presidential Scholarship Program, CHED, the UP Student Learning Assistance System Online, the DOST Scholarship Program, and the UP Mindanao Foundation (UPMFI) Scholarship Program.

The Scholarship Fair aims to provide valuable insights and resources to students seeking scholarships and fostering connections between aspiring scholars and scholarship programs. UPMin constituents are encouraged to explore and take advantage of the opportunities available for academic and professional advancement.

"I hope that our young scholars here will also continue to be the best individuals they can be, and I also hope that they will inspire other aspiring scholars in the near future," said Mr. Montajes,an alumnus and former grantee of a DOST scholarship.

The event was further enriched by testimonials from scholars of the various scholarship programs. 

The Scholarship Fair addresses the Sustainable Development Goals of Quality Education, Good Health and Well-being, and other goals.
