At its 1354th Meeting held on 24 September 2020, the Board of Regents APPROVED the following agenda matters:
1. Appointment of Dr. JOSE V. CAMACHO, JR. as Chancellor, UP Los Baños, effective 1 November 2020 until 31 October 2023;
2. Appointment of Dr. CARMENCITA D. PADILLA as Chancellor, UP Manila, effective 1 November 2020 until 31 October 2023;
3. Appointment of Dr. CLEMENT C. CAMPOSANO as Chancellor, UP Visayas, effective 1 November 2020 until 31 October 2023;
4. Appointment of Dr. AURELIA LUZVIMINDA V. GOMEZ as Dean, School of Management, UP Mindanao, effective 24 September 2020 until 23 September 2023.

The nomination letter for Prof. Gomez introduced her, thus:
Prof. Gomez has been with UP Mindanao since 2001 teaching in both the undergraduate and the graduate programs of the School of Management (SOM). She acquired her Ph.D. (Natural Resource Management) from Charles Darwin University, Australia with the Australian Leadership Award scholarship.
As an academic, she had published several articles in peer-reviewed journals which include the SEAMO-SEARCA, Banwa, and the Food and Agriculture Organization journal. She is also involved in various research projects that are funded both by national and international reputable agencies such as the Commission on Higher Education (under CHEd DARE TO) and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).
In 2009, Prof. Gomez was awarded the “Gawad Tsanselor para sa Pinakamahusay na Guro.” She is also a recipient of numerous Professorial Chair and Faculty Grant awards from 2005 to 2008 and more recently the One UP Faculty Grant for Teaching and Public Service (2019-2021). Moreover, she is also instrumental in the creation of the BS Agribusiness Economics Program upon its inception in 2005.
Prof. Gomez also served in different capacities as an administrator and is also a member of different college and university committees. At various times, she served as SOM’s representative to the UAPFC (formerly UAPB), member of the University Research Ethics Committee and the University Council Committees, among others. She was the college secretary of SOM from AY2005-2006 to AY2007-2008, the University Registrar from September 2015 to February 2019, and the incumbent Vice Chancellor for Administration, since March 2019. Moreover, her commitment to service transcends the confines of the University and extends to the wider community. She had served as a resource person to various organizations (government and non-government), specifically relating to strategic planning and natural resource management.
