The UP Mindanao Human Resources Development Office announced the commencement of the effectivity of the memorandum of agreement between UP Mindanao and the Adventist Hospital Davao on January 24, 2024, following the signing in November 2023.
"We are pleased to inform everyone that UP Mindanao has successfully entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with Adventist Hospital for the eHOPE benefit of UP Mindanao employees. This partnership allows us to access their services in cases of confinement.
Reimbursement of hospitalization expenses is our present practice in UP Mindanao. With this partnership with Adventist Hospital, UP Mindanao employees may now have the option to be admitted to the said hospital with minimal or no cash-out from our personal funds."
However, with regard to doctor's professional fees, the HRDO memorandum clarified that "we are only allowed to reimburse up to a maximum of twice the amounts based on the Relative Value Unit (RVU) set by Philhealth for specific medical cases," they stated.
With regard to hospital expenses, the HRDO memo stated that "hospital expenses up to the authorized maximum amount of P100,000, and take-home medicines up to P10,000.00 per year."
In closing, the HRDO memo stated, "Please take note that utilization of this benefit is subject to the eHOPE guidelines, and amended approved guidelines from the 1380th Board of Regents meeting dated 27 April 2023."
